Hey music lovers and requesters! Sorry for the MIA but have no fear we are back and singing up some awesome requests for you. This week's request comes from Joshua Louis Smith and is....
"The Story" by Brandi Carlile.

  
   Some of you may have heard this song recently on ABC's show Grey's Anatomy. Side note in my opinion, this show has the best soundtracks ever and has a history of introducing some really cool artists to a much wider audience. So kudos to the show's musical suprevisor Alexandra Patsavas, owner of Chop Shop. And Alexandra if you're out there, please feel free to take a listen to my tunes. I'll send ya a free copy...hell I'll send you a thousand :) OK I digress, back to the song at hand. It was actually the song's second apperance on the hit show. The first one being back in April of 2007 and most recently on the show in March of 2011 being sung as the finale in the Grey's Anatomy musical episode sung by Tony Award winning actress Sara Ramirez.
   The song is from Brandi's second album with Columbia Records also titled The Story and was released in April of 2007. She is an amazing artist and definitly worth checking out.
